MODIFIED LIGNOSULFONATE LIGTIN
Purpose of Use
Thinning additive for drilling fluids LIGTIN is used to reduce the relative viscosity of the drilling fluid, to increase the mechanical speed of drilling and reduce the risk of sticking, it minimizes stuffing. The additive reduces the rheological properties of clay solutions, helps to reduce water loss in all types of WBM. The chemical is efficient for the general improvement of mud properties. It is thermally stable. It can be used as a plasticizer and retarder of cement slurry setting.
LIGTIN is a modified lignosulfonate containing iron and chromium salts.

Customer Benefits
-
Reduces effectively the viscosity and static shear stress of water-based clay drilling fluids and facilitates fluid loss control.
-
Applicable at temperatures up to 180 °C and contributes to maintaining the thermal stability of drilling fluids. Prevents high temperature thickening of clays.
-
LIGTIN is an effective dispersant of drilling fluid components in alkaline pH media.
-
It is a good oil dispersant.
Recommended Consumption
Consumption of LIGTIN depends on the temperature and salinity of the mud and ranges from 5 to 25 kg/m3 of the finished drilling mud.
Packing
Modifying thinning additive LIGTIN is supplied in multilayer polypropylene or paper bags with a polyethylene liner, 25 kg each.
Guaranteed shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture, provided storage and transportation conditions are observed.
