Modified Starch POLYAMILAR

Modified Starch POLYAMILAR

Technical Requirement

TU 20.16.59-171-53501222-2022

Fluid loss reducing agent POLYAMILAR is used as an additive to regulate the level of water output both in solutions with a low solid phase content and in weighted drilling fluids based on fresh or mineralized water.

POLYAMILAR is modified swelling starch obtained from organic natural raw materials by means of its modifying with the help of  thermochemical heterophase gelatinization using chemical compositions.

Application Area

Provides filtration control in all water-based drilling fluids.

  • Drilling of exploratory, horizontal and lateral horizontal wells, including the wells completed without cementing, core sampling in conditions of the need to preserve natural permeability and to provide minimal fluid filtration during the drilling-in of a payout bed.

Customer Benefits

  • Additive POLYAMILAR, being a polysaccharide, is degrades easily naturally or during the treatment of the bottom-hole zone, which allows preserving reservoir permeability.

  • POLYAMILAR is effective in fluids with the pH ranging from 9 to 10.

  • POLYAMILAR is economical in use, added to the fluids in small quantities.

  • POLYAMILAR is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, does not cause environmental pollution.

Recommended Consumption

POLYAMILAR is well soluble both in fresh water and in saturated solutions of monovalent and/or polyvalent metal salts. The chemical is sensitive to water hardness over 300 mg/ml.

POLYAMILAR can be introduced both into the water-based premix and into the circulating drilling mud.

Depending on the requirements for the mud, the consumption of the POLYAMILAR varies from 10 to 20 kg per 1 m3 of the finished drilling mud.

When using the POLYAMILAR chemical in the drilling mud, the use of a bactericide is recommended.

Packing

Modified starch POLYAMILAR is supplied in multilayer polypropylene or paper bags with a polyethylene liner, by 25 kg each.

Guaranteed shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture, provided storage and transportation conditions are observed.
