Modifier for HCl acid МК-5

Modifier for HCl MK-5 is designed for the application as an additive for HCl and HCl–based compositions to obtain acid stimulation fluids for production wells of FLUXOCORE® 210 / KSPEO brands. MK-5 facilitates the preventing of stable high-viscose oil-acid emulsions formed during the process of acid stimulation of production wells in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. It also helps to prevent precipitation of the products of the reaction between acid and rock.

Acidic modifier MK-5 is a mixture of surfactants and acids and is available in three grades: grade A, grade O and grade C. МК-5 grade А and grade O are used to make conventional production well acid stimulation fluids, МК-5 grade C is used to make basic acid fluid for self-diverting acid fluid for production well stimulation.  

Application Area For Acid Stimulation Fluids of FLUXOCORE® and KSPEO Brands made with Modifiers MK-5

  • Acidizing of production wells in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs with watercut up to 60%, especially when the production wells reduced the productivity due to precipitation and blockage of the critical area of formation with inorganic matters, and due to oil-water emulsions.  

  • Acidizing in production wells in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs with watercut up to 80% with the combined use of acidic composition and hydrocarbon emulsions as a flow diverting agent.

  • Acidizing in production wells in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs with watercut of 90% and higher with the combined use of acidic composition and sediment forming composition TAMOLEX® as a flow diverting agent.

  • Acidizing in production wells in carbonate reservoirs with watercut  up to 70% with the use of self-diverting acidic composition.

  • Fresh well completion after drilling operations in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs; switching into other production horizons and well development after conservation and temporary nonoperation.

  • Large-volume acidizing of production wells.
