Abstracts of the report Non-polymer viscosity regulator (surfactants) and corrosion inhibitor for acid proppant fracturing were published

5 April 2019

The abstract of the report presented at the 19th International Scientific and Practical Conference Coiled Tubing Technologies, Hydraulic fracturing, and downhole treatment was published in № 67 of journal Time of Coiled Tubing.

The conference was held from 8th till 9th of November in Moscow.

A. Elsukov, Deputy Technical Director for New Reagents of Polyex made a presentation on Non-polymer viscosity regulator (surfactants) and corrosion inhibitor for acid proppant hydraulic fracturing.

The most promising method for stimulating oil flow in carbonate reservoir is acid fracturing using proppant. However, this method has a number of limitations, the main among which is a complex multi-stage operating procedure. Polyex company offers a solution based on a viscoelastic surfactant SURFOGEL® grade AF which provide simultaneous compliance with all requirements and a significant simplification of the technology.

Surfactant SURFOGEL® grade AF does not contain polymers, is completely destructed in the crack after development, its use in the fracturing technology facilitates controlling the viscosity properties of an acid solution and dosing of the chemicals into-the-flow, which simplifies the injection process greatly.
