Rheological and sand carrying properties of viscoelastic surfactant (VES) based fracturing fluid are researched. It is shown that sand carrying properties of viscoelastic surfactant based fracturing fluid are determined by elastic properties of the fluid in a greater degree and by viscous properties in a lesser degree. Information obtained during present research may be considered as additional criteria at selection and optimization of viscoelastic surfactant based fracturing fluid.
