Purpose of Use
Gelling agent SURFOGEL®grade A is designed for the aplication as a gel forming component in HCl-based acidic compositions for stimulation of the wells, such as FLUXOCORE®
210 grade C, as well as in water solutions of NaCl and in other mineralized water solutions.
grade A is alcohol solution of highly efecctive surfactants.
Viscoelastic compositions with gelling agent SURFOGEL® grade A are used for the following purposes:

Technology of Oil & Gas Production Stimulation by Self-diverting Acidic Compound
Purpose of Use
The technology of oil and gas production stimulation with self-diverting acidic compound FLUXOCORE®
210 grade C with gelling agent SURFOGEL®
grade A is designed for the treatment of wells in carbonate fractured and porous fractured reservoirs with high heterogeneity of layers. The treatment can be held at the formation temperatures uder 60 °C.
The process of oil production stimulation in carbonate porous fractured reservoirs with high-permeability zones in the producing formation is complicated with the fact that acidic compounds tend to acidize mainly the zones with high-permeability.
The most effective way to increase the acid treatment coverage is to divert the fluids with temporarily blocking compound based on gelling agent SURFOGEL®grade A. Blocking gel is formed directly in-place conditions while the process of acidic compound turning spent with the reaction of acid with formation. This allows to divert selectively the treating fluid to a less permeable area where the net of wormholes is formed.The wormholes are formed not only due to the heterogeneity of the reservoir but also due to redirecting the vector of effect on the rock by increasing the resistance of the gel.
Self-diverting acidic compound does not cause formation damage comparing with visco-elastic diverting fluids on polymer base.
Possibility of creating wide network of wormholes in the matrix not only due to the heterogeneity of the reservoir but also by redirecting the vector of effect on the rock by increasing the resistance of the gel.
Enhancing the efficiency of hydrochloric acid use for the acid is not spent on cavity creation.
No need in keeping rapid speed of injection of self-diverting acidic compound and thus no need in expensive specialized equipment.
It is possible to use self-diverting composition with the coiltubing techniques of application. The viscosity of acidic compound FLUXOCORE®210
with diverting agent SURFOGEL®
in its initial state is about 20-30 mPa*s at the temperature of 20°С.
The possibility of regulating the ultimate viscosity of self-diverting acidic compounds containing diverting agent SURFOGEL®grade A by changing its concentration depending on the geological conditions and objectives.
