The second international tournament WTG FOOTBALL CUP took place in Perm
On August 5, Perm hosted WTG FOOTBALL CUP 2023, a sporting event for the Winter Technologies Group (WTG) community. WTG unites industrial enterprises, which include Polyex.
This year, on August 5, 12 teams took part in the WTG football tournament: UZPM (Krasnokamsk), "Bionord" (Perm), "Sintez" (Moscow, Dolgoprudny, Roshal), NGT (Perm), "Polieks" (Perm), " Halopolymer (Perm), T+ Group (Perm), Halopolymer (Kirovo-Chepetsk), BSZ (Berezniki), Metafrax Chemicals (Gubakha), Goznak (Krasnokamsk) and Belaruskali (Soligorsk). The matches were held in the “5+1” format. Andrey Arshavin again became an honorary guest of the WTG FOOTBALL CUP, holding an autograph session and master classes for young football players. The matches were commentated by famous Russian football commentators Viktor Gusev and Konstantin Genich.
This time, last year’s champions “Belaruskali” dropped out of the competition at the stage of qualifying games in groups and in the match for first place the teams representing the “Ural Plant of Anti-icing Materials” met: “UZPM”, consisting of employees of the administrative department, and “Bionord”, played by workers at the production site. The match ended in favor of Bionord.
