The article of Polyex JSC Polymer-free viscosity controlling agent (viscoelastic surfactant) for acid-proppant fracturing was published in the journal Neftepromyslovoe delo/Oil Industry/ 10(610), 2019

Polyex suggests the use of acid gels based on a non-polymeric, non-colmatating, viscoelastic surfactant SURFOGEL® grade A (VES) as an alternative to existing proppant acid fracturing fluids. Adding of VES into acid fracturing fluid allows to control easily and to vary in a simple way the viscosity of the acid fluid and its ability to carry proppant within wide limits. This acid system is technologically more simple and more effective alternative to a complex multi-stage injection of various fluids during acid-proppant fracturing. The article contains the results of study of rheological and proppant-carrying properties of a gelled acidic fracture fluid based on a surfactant.
